Judges’ Choice Award at the FRC Half Moon Bay District Event

I’m proud to share that my robotics team, Stratford Preparatory Blackford Robotics Team 10252, received the Judges’ Choice Award at the 2026 FIRST Robotics Competition CA District Half Moon Bay Event. As a second-year team transitioning from FTC to FRC, this recognition meant a lot to us because it showed the outreach work our team has been building alongside our technical development. Our initiatives included distributing refurbished laptops to local robotics teams, creating 3D-printed succulent giveaways, and building interactive video game experiences that helped introduce attendees to robotics concepts in a fun and accessible way. The award also builds on the momentum from last season, when we received the Rookie All-Star Award, and reflects our team’s continued growth and commitment to making robotics more engaging and impactful within our community.
